Seamlessly Simple Designs
 

No matter what your level of experience with knitting or crochet these patterns will guide you to success.

Patterns include detailed written and photo instructions.  

Note:  If you are new to these crafts may I suggest "At the Game" (scroll down to the end of the page) or "Isabella Granny" as a starting point.

Most sweater patterns run size 6 months to 10 years and a few have Spanish versions.

Mateo  - Level 1 

Great beginner Project.  It is basic top down raglan design.  This cardigan can be made  all in one color or add stripes.  

Skills you will need : Knit and Purl.  

What you will learn: Yarn over to increase and German short row.

Swing Jacket         Level  2

Don't let the details of this jacket make you think it's not a beginner project.   If you can knit and purl, you've got it made, literally.  There is ribbing and seed stitch, both a combination of knit and purl stitches.  Increasing stitches create the flares front and back. 

Skills you will need: cast on, knit and purl.

What you will learn: Yarn over to increase and knitting two stitches together to decrease.

Sonoma Hoodie. Level  2 

Let's add a hood to the basic style.   You can be very creative with this pattern, add fun buttons,multi-color yarns or knit it all one color. Size's range from 6 months to 10 years.  

 

Skills you will need: Knit, purl, bind off

What you will learn: Make 1 (increasing Yarn Over) 

Judy’s Magic Cast on (or if you omit the hood, just a cast on technique).

Coco Cable Hoodie. Level 3 

This hoodie is knit all in one piece from the top down. Incorporating a cable along the hood and sleeves gives this cardigan a Irish Knit look. There are no seams to sew, just a few stitches for the buttons, snaps or zipper. “Seamlessly Simple”™

Royal Jacket Level 3 

Double breasted and with wide lapels, all knit top down with absolutely no seams to sew.  Versatile because you get to decide the fabric pattern for the body.

Quilted Princess Level  2.5

The Quilted Princess is a beautiful, classic style cardigan. Knit from the top down. No seams to sew. Once you complete knitting there is so little to do to finish this sweater. Just weave in a few strands of yarn. A combination of easy seed stitch and a quilted stitch give it a touch of elegance.

Sophia  
Level 2.5

A lovely lace collar and insert detail, make this a most delicate cardigan. Although my most recent model is knit in 3 colors, a solid color works just as well. Cascade Sport or any another DK weight yarn are recommended.

So Much More
Level 2

This hoodie is knit all in one piece from the top down with raglan sleeves and  a zipper or snap closure. Check out our model is wearing size 12 months by clicking on the link below. This is a great project that can be knit with brilliant beautiful colors and also a great use for left over yarn. There are no seams and no closures to sew on. The Hood has a rib knit across the back for a fun effect.

Tulip Lace
Level 2.5

This raglan sweater is knit top-down from the Lace collar to bottom band, no seams, no sewing. Fun, fancy and fast to knit. The instructions are clear.

Details include: I-cord band, knit in buttons and tulip lace pattern. This can be knit all one color or multi-stripe. I

Reversible Cable Cowl - Level 2

Knit with circular needles.  Outside and inside are the same and since you are using big yarn this item knits up fast.

Skills you will need : Knit and Purl.  

What you will learn: Cable Stitch

 Granny Cardigan  1    
 Level  2 -crochet

The Granny Stitch runs  throughout these lovely cardigans.  Learn how to Crochet the squares with the option to learn how to crochet them together as you go.  The Granny stitch worked on the body and sleeves creates an interesting pattern

Sizes range from 6 months to 10 years.  

Skills you will need: chain , single, and half double crochet stitches.

Isabella Granny Cardigan
Level 1-crochet

Granny Stitch will never go out of style.   Step by step instructions and detailed photos help to make this project seamlessly simple.  Create a strip of granny squares by sewing them together.  From that point you will crochet the body bottom up, then add two rows of stitches for the sleeves.  The final part is to crochet the sleeves and back yoke, then either sew or crochet the back together.   

Sizes range from 6 months to 10 years.  

Skills you will need: chain , single, and half double crochet stitches.

Isabella Style 2  Level 3

This is a variation of the Isabella  Granny cardigan--Rows of granny stitch are used to create front button bands

Katie Rae  Level 2.5

Isn’t this lovely, and it will be fun to knit. Knit top down. The lapel shaping is done with knit cast on and then decreases at the front band edge. Seamlessly Simple. Just a touch of crochet (optional if you choose to include buttonholes in your front band.)

Cali  Crochet Level 2.5

Begin by Crocheting a basic  shape sweater and then add details a lace band on the bottom and a scalloped stitch around the edge.

Ribbed Moebius Cowl   
Level 2

A lovely, quick and fun to knit. A moebius cowl in a rib stitch, big needles and big yarn.

Rainbow Heart
Level 1.5. Give it a Try

This afghan is crocheted in alternate rows of Half double crochet and a cluster stitch. The fabric has dimension and color. You will need at least two separate skeins(balls) for the background color and less then 1/2 skein of each o the other colors you choose. Be creative : although it’s designed as a rainbow motif any variety of colors would be fantastic.

Level Info

These levels designations are a guide.  I encourage you to begin where you are comfortable, but be open to the possibility of learning something new.  When you click on the links under each image you will get a more detailed description and the materials list needed to complete the project. 

 

Level 1- You are a beginner who has knowledge of Cast on, Knit and Purl  or  Chain, Single and Half double crochet

Level 2 or 2.5 -You are able to complete level 1 tasks and ready to learn new techniques such as cables, lace or bobbles.   

Level 3- These are the more detailed projects with a combination of techniques.  

At the Game  Level 1

The most basic beginner knit project  Top down raglan sleeves that can be created in a solid or include a strip.
